Camaret sur Mer

Absolutely no wind today.. as forecast. But I needed to get to Camaret which is only 35 miles away in order to be able to catch my weather window to cross Biscay. It’s all looking very good for a Wednesday departure.

So off we went with the tide and motored all the way. I had wanted to go inside of the Roches D’Argenton for a bit of sightseeing close to the cost but after seeing the big atlantic rollers breaking on the rocks in the distance I decided against this plan and went outside.
The notorious Chenal du Four between the mainland and the Île de l’Ouessant couldn’t not have been any more quiet which suited me fine. So all in all this was a very uneventful passage except for one dolphin doing an incredible show-off jump for me. When I got the camera out he was gone of course.
Notic Harbor was full when I got there so turned into Vauban Harbor which calls for a lot of walking to the supermarket and the gas station. But I guess that can’t hurt.
Upon arrival I immediately met three germans who will depart to cross Biscay on Tuesday. Eventually they have a very similar route so I might meet them again.
The town and the area is beautiful and I’m a bit sorry that I can’t stay longer but the weatherwindow seems to good to miss.
