Guadeloupe

I had originally wanted to go from Dominica directly to the Jaques Cousteau Reserve in Guadeloupe in order to provision for a while. Guadeloupe would be the last relatively cheap country for a long time. I then found out that clearing in and out was not possible there so I sailed to Les Saintes together with Andi and Kudi to do the paperwork there and then continue to Guadeloupe mainland.

Anse du Pain de Sucre was a very rolly anchorage and the walk to customs and immigration was incredibly long. The island and the town were beautiful but I was tired and wanted to continue so I checked in and out at the same time, said goodbye to Andi and Kudi and left early the next morning for Gudeloupe mainland and the Jaques Cousteau bay.
Before I go home I would like to make it all the way to Cuba which is still more than 1000 miles away. So I need to hurry up a little more. With bad weather on the horizon sometime next week I want to be in the British Virgin Islands before it arrives. In the bay I was greeted by a giant turtle,I made two trips to the supermarket, dove to clean the hull again and set off for Antigua in the evening for an overnight sail.
